The Metropolitan Orchestra’s (TMO) last Met concert of 2025 at Marrickville Town Hall features a spectacular selection of three classic musical masterpieces. Led by Chief Conductor Sarah-Grace Williams, this powerhouse performance features music by Saint-Saens, Tchaikovsky, and Dvorak to see out the last day of Winter and prepare for a fresh Spring.

The afternoon performance starts with the famous tone poem from Saint-Saens, his Danse Macabre. Following this is Tchaikovsky’s own romantic Romeo and Juliet Overture where love and violence share the stage in a powerful musical rendition of the classic Shakespearean story.

Following a brief intermission will be Dvorak’s masterwork Eighth Symphony. This euphoric symphony sets the scene for the warmer spring months ahead in this fitting final concert of The Metropolitan Orchestra’s Met Series for 2025.
