Vanessa Couper

Vanessa Couper is a flautist, Registered music therapist, song writer, mum of two and Vee from kids music group Tiptoe Giants. Vanessa has completed three music degrees from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and Melbourne University – BMus (hons), MMus and MMusThy, and has countless experience within the arts education, health and performance sectors. Vanessa has performed as a flautist with the Sydney Symphony Orchestra as well as performing regularly with Tiptoe Giants. With years of experience working as a music therapist in various settings, such as Sydney Children’s hospital Bear Cottage, Chris O’Brien Lifehouse, special education within schools, and paediatric oncology, Vanessa loves using music as a tool to engage with others. 

Most recently, Vanessa was nominated for an ARIA for Best Childrens Album in 2022, as well as being awarded Health Musician of the Year 2022 by the Mental Health Foundation Australia for her contribution to mental health through her songwriting and music therapy work.
