The Metropolitan Orchestra’s (TMO) final concert of 2020 proudly reflects the orchestra’s commitment to championing emerging Australian talent.  This evening’s amazing program opens with a brand new, world premiere work written by the winner of TMO’s 2020 Emerging Composer Competition.  Australian guitarist Giuseppe Zangari then joins Chief Conductor Sarah-Grace Williams and TMO for Nigel Westlake’s illustrative Antarctica Suite for Guitar and Orchestra before TMO celebrates the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth, and the final Met Concert for 2020, with Beethoven’s magnificently picturesque Sixth Symphony, which is also known as the Pastoral Symphony. This will prove to be a magnificent finale to a triumphant year of music making within the Everest Theatre at the Seymour Centre.
