TMO Junior – Young Instrumentalist Festival 2024

A welcoming, non-competitive performance opportunity for primary and high school age musicians

Event Date: Sunday 16 June 10am - 5pm
Venue: Ashfield Town Hall

THE METROPOLITAN ORCHESTRA is proud to present its second annual
TMO JUNIOR – YOUNG INSTRUMENTALIST FESTIVAL

Providing a welcoming, non-competitive performance opportunity for young musicians in a supportive environment, young musicians of all ages and abilities are invited to play one piece, either solo or with accompaniment. Performers will be allocated a session along with similarly aged/skilled musicians, where they will get to perform their chosen piece on-stage. Each session will be a total of one hour in duration, with adjudications and medals presented immediately at the end of each session.

OPEN TO Primary and High School students of all ages playing wind, brass, strings or piano.

SUNDAY 16 JUNE 2024 Ashfield Town Hall – 5 Session times between 10 am-5 pm

ENTRY FEE

  • The entry fee for each performer is $45
  • If an individual would like to do 2 performances using different instruments, they are eligible to purchase a Double Performer Ticket for $80.00*
  • Audience members attend FREE and do not require a ticket.

ADJUDICATIONS AND MEDALS Unlike an eisteddfod, there are no rankings awarded or winners announced. Each student is on their own musical journey, all of which we want to celebrate. Each performer will receive WRITTEN FEEDBACK from our highly experienced adjudicators, along with a TMO YOUNG INSTRUMENTALIST MEDAL!
