Supported by Inner West Council, TMO’s cellists will dazzle with a beautiful choice of music including classic chamber masterworks through to popular classics, all re-orchestrated to accentuate the extraordinary sounds of this unique ensemble. Hosted by their enigmatic Principal Cellist John Benz, past concerts have included works by Bruch, Beving, Tavares, Barber and Shostakovich, in addition to a few surprises including reworkings of popular songs from Abba, Metallica and the Beatles, all delivered in a refreshing style highlighting the deep, warm sounds of the Cello. What an outstanding way to spend an Autumnal Sunday afternoon.
