Join the principal string players of The Metropolitan Orchestra for an afternoon of glorious music at the Leichhardt Town Hall. This exclusive special event will have a maximum of only 50 audience members in a premium, socially distanced concert.
The concert will also be live streamed from the Leichhardt Town Hall so that those who could not secure tickets, or were not able to attend in person, can enjoy the performance live, from the comfort of their own home.
The concert will include Mendelssohn’s remarkable string octet which was composed when he was just 16 years of age. This will be followed by Karl Jenkins’ colourful Palladio, a work based on architect Palladio’s harmonious mathematical principles.
Enjoy a special drink and snack on entry in a COVID friendly performance that will be followed by a chance to chat (from at least 1.5 metres) with the musicians, all included in your ticket price.
This event will be recorded for later online presentation.
