The Metropolitan Orchestra with Chief Conductor and Artistic Director Sarah-Grace Williams return to the enchanting Independent Theatre for a musical evening that will leave you breathless. Sarah-Grace and TMO will start the performance with Josef Suk’s sublime Serenade for strings. They will then be joined by outstanding Australian tenor Daniel Belle for the second half of this gala concert which will include some of the greatest arias from Opera and Music Theatre.
The third concert for this year represents a diversion for TMO’s Met Concert Series highlighting a wonderfully varied program. Joseph Suk’s lusciously sunny string Serenade is not a work heard often, but warrants more regular programming being a marvelous work which is beautifully lyrical. The second half of this concert will highlight voice for the second time in this year’s Met Series. He has performed with the internationally praised ‘Ten Tenors’ throughout Australia, Europe and The United States in addition to being a highly sought after solo vocalist. His inaugural performance in a mainstage Met Concert with TMO will highlight Belle’s remarkable capacity as he performs some of the absolute great works from both Opera and Musical theatre.
This concert will also include TMO’s annual fundraising evening which will feature an exciting blind auction with fantastic prizes to be purchased at bargain basement prices, in addition to raffles and door prizes.
