2013 marks the 18th year of this much loved annual celebration of food, wine and opera, held each spring at the historic Wyndham Estate Winery in the beautiful Hunter Valley in New South Wales. Passionate and romantic, opera touches the heart and stirs the emotions. Add the breathtaking surrounds of the superb vineyards, great food, fine wine and good company, and you have an experience not to be missed!

In 2013, we are thrilled to present for the first time one of Australia’s finest young singers, the ravishing soprano Greta Bradman, together with one of our best-known and favourite opera singers, David Hobson. Be mesmerised by their beautiful voices as they take you on a journey through some of the most beautiful arias and duets ever written. Even the ‘opera-shy’ will be familiar with unforgettable opera masterpieces all brought to vibrant life with a full orchestra under the stars on the banks of the Hunter River.

To conduct proceedings we welcome back ABC Classic FM broadcaster, Limelight columnist and many other musical things, Guy Noble, who will entertain in his own inimitable way and conduct the highly regarded Metropolitan Orchestra led by Sarah-Grace Williams.

Guests are invited to arrive early to indulge their taste buds at a food and wine fair. Then, as the sun sets slowly over the vines, it’s time to take your seats in the magnificent open-air amphitheatre and experience these beautiful arias and duets beneath the stars on the banks of the Hunter River, glass of wine in hand?

Katie Noonan's technical mastery and pure voice make her one of Australia's most versatile and beloved vocalists.  A mother, singer, producer, songwriter, pianist and business woman, this 4 x ARIA Award winning and 6 x platinum selling songstress first received widespread praise as the angel-voiced songstress of indie-pop band George and has since taken audiences on sublime excursions through jazz, pop and classical music.  For this concert Katie will be performing arrangements of her own compositions and favourite works.
